WTI AG takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We align our data processing with the goal of collecting, processing or using only the personal data necessary for the meaningful and economic use of our services. In the following, you will learn when data is stored during the use of our Internet offer and how we use it. We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Our offers are subject in particular to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU-DSGVO) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).
In connection with your access, data is stored on our servers for backup purposes that may allow identification (for example, IP address, date, time and pages viewed). These are not used in a personalized manner. In order to evaluate and continuously improve the quality of our Internet offering, we perform statistical analyses of access to our pages. This is also done in part by using counting graphics attached to the pages of our offer. However, the data obtained in this way is strictly anonymous and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about users' personal data.
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield agreement and thereby offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).
Google will use this information on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. In doing so, pseudonymous usage profiles of the users can be created from the processed data.
We only use Google Analytics with IP anonymization activated. This means that the IP address of users is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
The IP address transmitted by the user's browser is not merged with other data from Google. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the online offer to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The personal data of the users will be deleted or anonymized after 14 months.
Our online service can generally be used without disclosing your identity. In the case of participation in one of our personalized services, you will be asked separately for the data required to process the services. It is your free decision to participate in these services and to enter the corresponding data.
As a matter of principle, we do not pass on any personal data to third parties. In particular, no data is passed on to third parties for advertising purposes. If you use personalized services of our offer, however, the collection of personalized data and their disclosure to third parties may be necessary for the purpose of implementation and processing of the service. However, this data will only be stored or passed on to the extent necessary for the processing of the order. For this purpose, the submission of an explicit declaration of consent is required when filling out the respective form. Third parties to whom your data is passed on in the context of order processing are also bound by the statutory regulations for the handling of personal data. Insofar as we are obliged to do so by law or by court order, we will transmit data to the respective authorities entitled to receive such information.
Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.
Please also see below our information on the rights you have in relation to the processing of your data.
If you make use of our chargeable services, we offer PayPal as a payment option. PayPal is a payment service provider. A PayPal account is managed via an e-mail address, which is why there is no classic account number. PayPal makes it possible to trigger online payments to third parties or to receive payments. PayPal also assumes trustee functions and offers buyer protection services. The European operating company of PayPal is PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. & Cie. S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg, Luxembourg.
If you select the payment option PayPal, data is automatically transmitted to PayPal. By selecting this payment option, the data subject consents to the transmission of personal data required for payment processing. The personal data transmitted to PayPal are usually first name, last name, address, email address, IP address, phone number, cell phone number or other data necessary for payment processing. You have the option to revoke your consent to the handling of personal data at any time to PayPal. A revocation does not affect personal data that must necessarily be processed, used or transmitted for (contractual) payment processing. The applicable data protection provisions of PayPal can be found at www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.
A cookie is a text file that is either temporarily stored in the RAM of your computer ("session cookie") or stored on your hard drive ("permanent" cookie). Cookies are not used to run programs or download viruses onto your computer. Cookies are only associated with your computer and can only be read by a web server of the domain that created that particular cookie. We use "session cookies" to minimize the transmission of authentication information for security and convenience reasons. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. These cookies are exclusively technical in nature.
You have the option to accept or decline cookies at any time. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser setting to refuse all cookies if you prefer. Alternatively, you may be able to set your browser to warn you each time a cookie is about to be dropped so that you can selectively accept or decline cookies. However, if you choose to disable cookies, this may reduce performance and have a negative impact on your use of our sites. In particular, the search function may be restricted in TecFinder and lead to unexpected error messages. Please refer to the individual setting options of your browser for this.
On our website you will find links to our appearances on social networks as well as on Youtube. We have made a conscious decision not to use any social media plugins. Instead, we use simple linking.
We use state-of-the-art encryption methods via https to ensure the security of your data during transmission.
When registering to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by e-mail about circumstances relevant to the service or registration (for example, changes to the newsletter offer or technical circumstances).
For an effective registration we need a valid e-mail address. In order to verify that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address, we use the "double-opt-in" procedure. For this purpose, we log the order of the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the response requested herewith. No further data is collected. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.
On our website, we offer a contact form that you can use to get in touch with us. If you contact us in this way, we will store your data to process your request and for follow-up questions.
We store your personal data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes stated here or to comply with legal requirements. After that, your data will be blocked or deleted in accordance with the legislation. We observe the principles of data avoidance and data economy.
You have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored by us at any time. Likewise, you have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked or, apart from the mandatory data storage for business processing, deleted. Please contact our data protection officer for this purpose. You will find the contact details at the very bottom.
To ensure that a blocking of data can be taken into account at any time, this data must be kept in a blocking file for control purposes. You can also request that the data be deleted, unless there is a legal archiving obligation. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data upon request.
You can make changes or revoke consent by notifying us accordingly with effect for the future.
You have the right to complain about the processing of personal data by us to a supervisory authority for data protection.
We reserve the right to occasionally adapt this data protection statement so that it always complies with the current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the data protection statement, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection statement will then apply to your next visit.
If you have any questions about data protection, please send us an e-mail or contact our data protection officer directly:
